Glazing Renovations are now offering a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our specialist Installation Teams as a Service Engineer.

We are recruiting Fitters who are located around the Mildenhall / Suffolk area.

The Company

Glazing Renovations is part of the Glazing Vision group of Companies with its main function being to install, service and repair Glazing Vision rooflights.

Glazing Vision is a Norfolk based company who are the leading manufacturers of rooflights that they sell throughout the UK, Europe and the Rest of the World.

The Role

The Rooflight Installation and Service Engineer (Fitter’s Mate) will assist the Senior Installation and Service Engineer with installations, commissions, and remedial works of Glazing Vision rooflights where necessary either in commercial or residential environments across the UK. There may also be a requirement to work outside of the UK including Europe and the USA.

There will be a period of “on the job” training where you will learn about installing, servicing, and repairing Glazing Vision rooflight products and once competent there is the prospect of progressing to be a senior engineer.

Skills required:

  • A flexible attitude towards working hours with a good attitude to learning while on the job, with the main aim to progress to a Lead Fitter.
  • You need to understand and practice good Health and Safety awareness on site, at private premises and within our factory.
  • Have experience of working safely at height.
  • You must have a full UK driving licence.

Duties:

  • Working and taking instruction from the Senior Engineer to install both standard and bespoke product range of rooflights.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety and operational site regulations.
  • Working to the company standards and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Take responsibility for any PPE, general equipment and tools that are issued to you by the company.
  • The occasional overnight stay in the UK may be required as well as a potential to work outside the UK including USA and Europe, but there is a stay away bonus of £25 per night.
