These units are commonly installed to distribute natural daylight within a building, achieving a flush finish with the flooring. Unlocking the potential of a dark basement or adding light to rooms within the home without sacrificing usable space.
Our standard glass specification is designed to withstand regular foot traffic in UK domestic applications with uniform loading’s of 1.5kN/m² and concentrated loading’s of 2.0kN in accordance with BS EN 1991-1-1-1:2002.
Glazing Vision can also design and manufacture walk on rooflights for other applications such as public areas, commercial or heavy duty applications, where loading’s will be higher.
Internal walk on units are also available in bespoke wall abutted or multi-part variations using aluminium back to back angles for structural support or as external walk on units for balconies.
Note: Care should be taken when walking on glass that is wet. Anti-slip finishes are available for all our walk on rooflights. Please contact our technical sales team for further information.
