Job Title: Glass Quality Control

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent Position

Salary: £10.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the quality control inspection of all glass received into the business, implementing all relevant quality standards. Storage, preparation for issue and inventory of glass.
  • Preparing rejected glass and glass stillages for collection by manufacturers.
  • Maintain records of all glass quality inspections undertaken and ensure traceability of products.
  • Liaison with Purchasing department regarding deliveries, product non-conformances and stillage returns.
  • Store products and components in such way as not to lead to damage, defects or a safety hazard
  • Make recommendations for improvement to inspection processes
  • Carry out any other reasonable requests as and when required

Skills Required

  • Ability to organise own work to achieve critical deadlines
  • Able to read technical drawings and use technical measuring equipment
  • Critical eye for detail
  • Computer literate (Excel spreadsheets)

Essential:

  • Forklift Truck licence (counterbalance)

Desirable:

  • Previous glass handling experience
    Experience in operating overhead rail gantry crane
