This November, Glazing Vision is celebrating three decades of leadership, quality craftsmanship, and innovation in the rooflight industry – After humble beginnings in a domestic garage in Norfolk transformed into international operations through Europe, America, and beyond. 

A Legacy of Innovation and Quality

Glazing Vision boasts a legacy of innovation, leading at the forefront of the rooflight industry. Glazing Vision was proud to identify a gap in the market and designed the first-ever rooflight for flat roof applications, launching the original Fixed Flushglaze Rooflight.

The Fixed Flushglaze Rooflight is the epitome of our company mission, to build glass rooflights with “Minimal Framework, Maximal Daylight” allowing you to achieve “Sky Only” views inside your home.

Since the introduction of the Fixed Flushglaze Rooflight, Glazing Vision has continued to bring innovative solutions to the market. 2010 saw the introduction of the Glazing Vision xVent critical fire safety product, standing out in the market with its unique functionality and aesthetics (Its operating mechanisms are hidden within the framework, allowing the Sky Only views that Glazing Vision rooflights are renowned for)

Since then, our product range has been continually expanding to meet the needs of the architectural community, with innovations including the Glazing Vision SkyDoor, a stylish roof access rooflight, and the Pitchglaze Roof Window, a UKCA and CE marked in-plane roof window.

Our in-house QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) department ensures that each product is manufactured to the highest quality and in line with numerous industry standards.

Testament to our commitment to quality, Glazing Vision has been accredited to BSI ISO9001, ISO1400, and Constructionline Platinum. Our select product ranges have also been accredited to industry standards such as Secured By Design, BBA, the Loss Prevention Certification Board, BRE, and more.

A Solution For Every Project

Since the introduction of the simple, Flushglaze Rooflight in 2002, Glazing Vision has expanded its product range to encompass any architectural need; from the Freestanding Box Rooflight allowing clients access to their roof terrace in less than a minute to the Sliding Over Roof Rooflight flooding any property with natural daylight and ventilation whilst adding a stunning architectural feature. We are confident that any project pitfall faced by architects (Lack of natural daylight, small spaces needing to be maximised, etc) can be resolved with a Glazing Vision rooflight.

Our dedicated team works closely with the architectural community to deliver the perfect solution to any project, whether that is specifying our standard products or exploring our bespoke product range. 

The Glazing Vision Bespoke Design team work tirelessly to bring any rooflight vision to reality, however big it may seem and they have been an integral part of transforming many projects over the years utilising bespoke design; from a specialist drive on rooflight to a sliding Ridgeglaze rooflight.On the other end of the scale, Glazing Vision holds a number of selected rooflights in stock which can be purchased on rooflights.com allowing projects on a lower budget or tighter timeline to still benefit from the impact of glass rooflights.

Building Partnerships That Last

Since our founding 30 years ago, we have believed in the power of partnership and have formed relationships with companies throughout the world to install Glazing Vision rooflights on homes in Australia, Hawaii, America and further.

Glazing Vision’s extensive network of distributors has been growing since 2005 after the appointment of D&R Daylight Services in Ireland and Northern Ireland proved successful.

In addition, collaboration with our network of approved installers allows qualified individuals to  deliver the most efficient and high quality installation of Glazing Vision rooflights. 

All Glazing Vision Approved Installers are mandated to attend a week long training course, this allows them to understand the installation process fully and be equipped with the knowledge to identify potential rooflight faults – Opting for the assistance of an Approved Installer also increases the warranty period from two years to ten years.

These distribution and installation partnerships mean that wherever you are located, Glazing Vision rooflights are accessible to you, bringing you light, air, and space anywhere in the world.

At The Heart Of The Community

Glazing Vision takes its place in the community seriously, this value has been integral to us since our founding 30 years ago. 

Since 1994 we have relentlessly supported causes close to our heart; In 2022, Glazing Vision staff members donated their unwanted tools to ‘Tools With a Mission’ to be used in skills training centres in Africa, we also became Corporate Patrons of the UK construction charity, CRASH, raising money for the charity through the Cambridge Half Marathon. Other charities supported throughout the years include Mind, Cancer Research, The Salvation Army, and more.

In addition to our charity work, we are proud to work closely with the local engineering college, University Technical College Norfolk (UTCN) to encourage young people to follow their passion and explore what the industry has to offer.

We have cooperated with UTCN on numerous projects, including inviting cohorts of students to our HQ in Diss for a factory tour as part of the “Find Your Future” initiative – In 2023 we worked with UTCN students as part of the Find Your Future initiative which involved the students designing a brand new Sukkah rooflight. Each team of students presented their solutions to Glazing Vision team members in March 2023 which included sharing a technical datasheet, a prototype, and more.

We have also welcomed numerous cohorts of work experience students from UTCN and other local schools in various departments from electronics to marketing.

Looking to The Next 30 Years

Glazing Vision has been constantly innovating and growing since our founding in 1994 and we are excited to see where the next 30 years takes us.

With the determined work of our New Product Development (NPD) team, we will continue to bring new architectural solutions to market to solve problems that architects may continue to run into during their projects.
